My Vanity Project

About the band

My Vanity Project was formed in 2006 as an English-Dutch trio based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Known for their uniquely angular yet undeniably poppy sound, the band blended Joep Rutten’s driving bass with the tight, d'n'b influenced drums of Matt Cotton. Over this rhythmic foundation, singer and guitarist Karl Griffiths wove jagged, catchy melodies into a sound that was undeniably hook centered, yet interesting and distinctive.

"It became clear how much musical talent there is in the band and in the music. Talent that comes across much better live than on CD. Anyone who likes to listen to Pixies, The Cure, Joy Division will certainly appreciate this" - Translated Review for 'A Father, a Son, and an Idiot' - Janna Schouten, 3voor12
